If your child is absent, the money is credited. Cheques are accepted and should be made payable to Hampshire County Council. If you recieve Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance or Child Tax Credits you are welcome to apply for free school meals. Please ask at the office for the appropriate form. Back to top
Packed Lunches
We are an 'Enhanced Healthy School' thanks to our healthy attitudes. Please ensure that you follow our lunchbox guidelines to make sure that we can keep our status. Facilities are available for children to eat a packed lunch. Please put the packed lunch in a small plastic container clearly labelled with their name. Do not send drinks in glass bottles or cans and do not put fizzy drinks into flasks. Please refer to the Lunchbox Guidelines by clicking here. Back to top
Mid Morning Break
Children can bring a piece of fruit for morning play, other snacks are not encouraged. Children who receive Free School meals and children under five, will have milk free of charge. Milk can be purchased at a subsidised rate, parents will need to pay for milk one term in advance. The school provides every child with a plastic drinking bottle as they are encouraged to drink water throughout the day. The children also receive a piece of fruit or vegetable every day after the afternoon break. This is part of the Government Scheme to promote healthy eating in schools. Back to top
School Transport
Hampshire County Council provide free transport for Infant children who are in the school catchment area, if they live more than 2 miles from the school. Children who live in Oakhanger village are entitled to this free service and are picked up by the school minibus. The transport arrangements for children outside the school catchments area are the responsibility of the parents. Back to top
Road Safety
Parking space near the school entrance is very restricted and traffic congestion can be extremely dangerous. We are very proud that so many of our families choose to walk to and from school whenever possible. Parents with a disabled sticker are permitted to use the school drive although access is restricted at Junior School playtimes. Back to top
